Selvhenter at White Nights
The Danish band Selvhenter is playing in Riga tomorrow night as part of the pre-event for the Skaņu Mežs Festival (“Sound Forest”). The concert is supported by the Danish Cultural Institute in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and is organized as part of the annual culture festival Baltā nakts (“White Night”), which takes place on the 10th of September. Selvhenter is formed by five members playing saxophone, trombone, violin and two times drums. The band presents an experimental take on alternative music – the mix of experimental rock, improvised free jazz and punk gives the band a very unique sound.
